Who are we?

SBB already supports for over 47 years

The Bishop Bekkers Foundation (SBB) wants to make a contribution to the improvement of the social situation of people with a mental restriction or a development delay. They also deserve a decent life and the opportunity to develop their capabilities. SBB supports projects in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe. With that, there is not made a difference between beliefs.

The requests that reach us are very different. They can be about the purchase of adapted playing material, about the financing of a bus to bring children to a daycare, about a contribution to the building of a recreation room or about the translation of a basis book about autism in the local language.

Our stake is everytime the same though. Because of our independence and the fact that we work on a small scale, we can offer help in a quick and concrete way. The management of the foundation consists of volunteers, so that almost all the money helps the projects. These volunteers have different skills. Some of them work on administrative or economic area, others are skilled in development work or the care to people with a mental handicap or a development delay. The parents of the children are also part of the management.
